Carpet cleaning questions



Do I need to move furniture before a carpet clean?



No. Normally we move sofas etc., ourselves to one side of the room and cleaning half at a time. All we ask is to please move small items beforehand, small tables and so on plus expensive items that could fall.

If you need help with any of this we could move those small furniture items ourselves, but please call us to discuss, letting us know beforehand.



Can you get rid of dark marks around the skirting?



This type of staining is called Filtration Soiling (or Draft Marks) which is caused by air coming up from below the floor. We can reduce marks like this, but filtration soiling may not be completely removable.



Can you clean fading marks from under furniture or rugs?



Carpets accumulate dirt in certain areas more than others which leave darker area markings, especially with sunlight exposure. Professional cleaning may be able to enhance the appearance when this happens but if your carpet has fading due to sun UV radiation this can’t be fixed by a clean.



Can you get rid of old stains



Yes, we can remove red wine stains, tea and coffee staining, mud and ground in dirt as well as almost any other stain leaving a visible mark. If you have any concerns about your carpet problem just give us a call.


Staining can be removed from sofa upholstery, curtains and we provide mattress cleaning too.



can you get rid of smells and odours



Yes, we can remove a wide variety of odours from pet urine and smells, body fluid, musty smells, mildew, water damage smell, sour milk odour and more.

can you get pet stains out of carpet



Yes we can remove pet stains such as smell, dog urine and other pet messes.

Are Badgers Cleaning services competitively priced?



Cost is important as no one want to over pay for any service. Yet you don’t want to under pay either as that can mean you may get poorer value. What is important is that balance of excellent value standards competitively priced.

We do not cut corners and live by our motto "The Cleaners Who Care" We do price check against local competitors to ensure we offer one of the best value cleaning services. We cannot say we will be the cheapest, but we will always be competitive.


Also, pricing you pay for your any cleaning service is about remaining fair to our team who come into your home or business to do the work required. This is why we have a motivated team who often do more in less time - ultimately giving you the best value.



WHY should I choose you to clean my house?



Price, quality and trust. The high standards of cleaning we provide everyday are based on years of experience. With our customers’ requirements dictating the way we run our business.



WHEN WILL MY CLEANER ARRIVE, AND HOW MANY DO YOU SEND?


Our cleaners will arrive just before the scheduled start time of your clean, however in instances of heavy traffic please allow a 30 minute window for your cleaner to arrive. If there are any problems you will be contacted.


We typically send teams of 2 cleaners, but for smaller properties we will usually send just one cleaner to get the job done.



Am I tied in when I make a booking?



We have no contracts for home cleaning, no red tape. Just a flexible willing approach and a desire for a job to be done well for every customer, every time. Though the only think we do ask, is if you do take on a regular cleaning service can you let us look after you for at least 12 months.


If you do need to cancel or rearrange a booking, please give more than 24 hours notice. Cancellations within 24 hours will incur a £30 cancellation fee*.

Though if you rebook your clean, half this will be deducted from the rebooked job.



* p.s. We are not heartless, as we do know the unforeseen does happen.



HOW DO I KNOW WHAT HAS BEEN CLEANED?



All of our cleaners work to a checklist that we guarantee to complete. They work through your home, ticking off the tasks as they complete them. Once they have finished all of the tasks on the checklist they leave the checklist behind for you. That way you know all of the tasks have been completed.




DO I NEED TO BE HOME FOR MY BOOKING?


No, is the simple answer. All you need to do is ensure the cleaner can gain access to your house. Whether you leave a key with the neighbour or friend, just be sure to leave instructions when you book your clean.



CAN I MAKE SPECIAL REQUESTS?



Absolutely. When booking you can leave any special requests in the instructions section. Alternatively if you want to make a special request prior to booking, please contact us directly.


WHAT WON'T WE DO?


We won't provide a vague hourly estimate, that could increase after the job has been completed.

Leave you unhappy about what cleaning tasks have been completed, as you will know exactly what has been done.



CAN I LEAVE KEYS WITH MY CLEANER?



Of course, this is totally up to you. If you book regularly with us we always do our best to ensure you have the same cleaner, and you are free to leave your key with them.


CAN I BOOK FOR ANYTIME?


Yes, you can. We operate Monday through Saturday, our first booking slot is 9am. We do take bookings outside of this.


CAN YOU PROVIDE A REPLACEMENT CLEANER IF MY CLEANER IS NOT AVAILABLE?


Of course if your usual cleaner is not available, we can provide a new cleaner for you.
